Fantastic Film Ballads

Hi All!  Today, September 9, 2008, Jim Leahy and I are in Henderson NV working on several projects.  “Fantastic Film Ballads” is in the final editing stage and includes songs like “Evergreen,” Theme from “Love Story,” “My Heart Will Go On,” (love theme from “Titanic”), “Somewhere” (West Side Story), “Somewhere in Time,” “The Rose,” “The Way We Were,” “The Wind Beneath My Wings,” and more.  The pianist is Bryan Pezzone and this is a really pretty collection.  This week we will also (we hope) finish editing the second Newport Music Festival disk.  “Fantastic Film Ballads” falls into our new category named BGM.  We are producing three to four BGM collections every quarter.  BGM’s longer name is “Background Music.”  These are great disks for relaxed listening, parties, dinners, etc.

Mozart and More

Today is September 4th.  Tomorrow I will be going to Orange County to the recording studio in Buena Park where Jim Leahy (chief PianoSoft editor/engineer) and I will start editing the second Newport album from this summer’s concerts.  Jim went to Newport, RI in July to record some of the live concerts on the Disklavier.  From those live recordings, we are assembling PianoSoft collections.  One was finished a couple of weeks ago and it features three Mozart Sonatas played by the spectacular Michael Endres.  Next week we will complete a collection with a little Mozart, Schumann and Mendelsohnn.  You can learn more about the Newport Music Festival at www.newportmusic.org.  You may also read about Michael Endres at: http://www.michaelendres.com/.  Cheers!

What’s New Today: September 3, 2008

Today Bryan Pezzone, pianist extraordinaire, is in the studio recording a PianoSoft Solo collection called “Fantastic Film Ballads.”  Bryan is the perfect pianist for this project (actually, he can play anything - really!) because he is the go-to guy for many of the biggest Hollywood films.  He records film music regulary for John Williams and other greats.  Bryan has recorded a great deal of PianoSoft and his versatility is one of his greatest musical qualities.  Not many great Classical Pianists are great pop/jazz pianists as well and improvise on the level that he does. And…if that’s not enough…he is an accomplished composer.  You can learn more about him at: http://www.brumfieldassociates.com/a_bryanpezzone.htm

Did you know that CRD develops 15 new PianoSoft products every quarter?
